It has been our experience, that of all the possible points of failure
preventing an order from posting to your MAS 90 or MAS 200 system, the e-Business
Manager Web Server tops the list. Whether it is set up as a service or an
application, an unresponsive web server stops your internet sales efforts.
There are many services out there that can send you an email if your Microsoft IIS
Server is not running. Your e-Business Manager Web Server, however, can stop
entirely and these services won’t know because IIS is still responding!
We’ve created a simple program to test your e-Business Manager Web Server. It
checks your system several times an hour and sends out emails
(via Business Alerts)
to a primary and secondary address on a failure. Once a day, it will send a
summary of all the checks performed the previous day.
